ISEET replaced IIT-JEE & AIEEE
ISEET (Indian Science and Engineering Eligibility Test) replacing IIT-JEE and AIEEE proposed by HRD ministry and State Education ministers from the year 2013. The test which is to be administered by CBSE will be applicable to all Engineering Colleges including IITs and NITs.
The proposed Examination will be conducted in April / May – 2013. This will be applicable to the students who are now pursuing their +1/ Junior Inter.
Examination Pattern
There will be two papers
Mains: This test which is expected with logical reasoning and general aptitude will be conducted to test the thinking capability of a student.
Advance: This paper will be set and assessed by IIT professors which are expected with the common core subjects (Maths, Physics, and Chemistry). The toughness will be maintained as in the erstwhile IIT-JEE.

- Main & XII - 50% Weightage
- Advanced - 50% Weightage
State Engineering colleges:
- XII marks - 40% Weightage
- Main - 40% Weightage
- Advanced - 20% Weightage
Note:
- This is proposed to the state Engineering colleges. The colleges would not be forced to cancel their respective common entrance test.
- But for IITs, NITs, IIITs and all National funded colleges, It is mandatory to take the test.
- A formal declaration of the exam with final details is expected to be made by May this year.
