A brief tour / chat about FIFA world cup 2014

When it was announced that FIFA World Cup would be in South America in 2014, it took nearly three years to come to a decision. Brazil Argentina, Columbia came forward to host FIFA World cup 2014. After many meetings and contracts, the rest two countries gave chance to Brazil to host FIFA World Cup 2014.

It took three years to select teams to fight in FIFA World Cup 2014.
203 countries participated in qualifying matches among 208 football playing countries. 31 teams qualified to play FIFA World cup 2014 by November2013. the host, Brazil, qualifies directly to FIFA World cup 2014 with out participating in qualifying matches. The fight in now among the 32 teams to hold FIFA World Cup 2014.

3,400 crores prize money in INR
The winners team receives 206 crores and the runners team receives 148 crores. The remaining teams receives based on their performance during the FIFA World Cup 2014. Each team was given 9 crores in INR before the cup starts for practice expenditure.

1 lakh 80,000 crores expenditure Spent by Brazil Government.
20, 460 crores in INR to build new stadiums and to reconstruct old stadiums.
The matches will be conducted in twelve different cities.
Five among them are new constructed. 

Goal Line Technology
For the First time in FIFA World Cup the goal line technology is used in 2014. When ball crosses goal line, it sends automatic signal to the watch worn to match referee's hand. It gives accurate information even with millimeter distance in just one second duration. the technology works with magnetic waves and special cameras.

Brazil records in World Cup 
  • Brazil is the only country participated in all foot ball world cups.
  • Brazil has won five world cups among 19 world cups held so far.
  • Brazil bagged second place with 97 matches played in World Cup followed by Germany with 100 matches with the first match played in FIFA World Cup 2014.
  • Brazil would have been in first place as the most matches played country in foot ball world cup if it hadn't lost many games in leagues in previous World Cups.
Protests against FIFA World Cup 2014
Brazil is country which calculates a child in the mothers womb would become striker, defender or goal keeper. That is the amount of love they have with the foot ball. The love of foot ball game for Brazilians can not be measured. But the corruption of government and extremely large expenditure by the government caused protests. It was believed all these would be stopped when the game started. "We love football. But we care for our children's future. the burden of the expenditure is going to fall on the common man. Otherwise we don't love anything as we love football." Said the common man in Brazil.

1 lakh 50 thousand applications of Volunteers
received by FIFA. This is two times of the applications received in the previous world cup.

Most valuable teams and players
  • The most valuable team in FIFA World Cup 2014 is Brazil standing with Rs. 4,090 crores.
  • The second most valuable team is Spain with Rs. 4,060 crores.
  • The most valuable player in FIFA World Cup 2014 is Lionel Messi, Argentina with Rs.1100 crores.
  • The second most valuable player in FIFA World Cup 2014 is Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal with Rs. 840 crores.
Pit bull's "We Are One"
Shakira's Waka Waka created sensation in the last foot ball world cup in Africa. Almost the same response is being received by Pit Bull's "We Are One". Jennifer Lopez was special attraction during the inauguration. An album was created along with an official anthem which is receiving a thunderous response from the lovers of football and music.
Demands of Participating countries    
Portugal: asked for six security guards for every room and two security guards must always be with Cristiano Ronaldo. 
France: Every player's room must be same and two different soaps must be there in their bathrooms.
Uruguay: asked for soundless Air Conditioners in the players rooms.
Ecuador: asked for Ecuadorian bananas in everyday diet of players.
England: asked for a dedicated special restaurant.
When demands were going on with countries, Germany built a new hotel in Brazil for its players and arranged rooms as per the taste of the players, gyms, foot ball ground and dining halls to its players.

Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport has been attacked

Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport has been attacked by the Taliban on 8th April at 11:00PM (Local time). And it has been claimed by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). There were 28 people killed in the fought between 10 militants and soldiers.

The militants are expected to have entered airport with fake passports and started gunfire at cargo. The Jinnah International Airport was shut and the planes were diverted to other airports. In a long battle between army and the 10 militants which lasted until 4:00AM on 9th June 2014, nearly for 5 hours, 7 of the militants died in gun battle and the rest three detonated bombs themselves and died.

“The cargo was set to fire. And no aircraft has been damaged.” Said an official at airport. It is not the first time the largest airport in Pakistan has been under attack. It is also expected one of the reasons for the attack is the peace talks between the Pakistan government and Pakistan Taliban
